Although it is Tuesday now..........this past weekend was pretty productive and awesome!!!
Thursday: After work I headed down to Ft Lauderdale hours later and scooped up Wendy and Ashley and hung out with them. Dragged them to WalMart with me so I could buy a CD booklet and Eddie Murphy 'RAW' DVD.
Friday: Hung with Drew all fucking day. Later went to The Scene to support From The Ashes and Orijin. Really good show but I had to leave to go to band practice for 11pm. After practice I headed over to Sergio's and Will's house and hung with Will, Lauren and Jon from Chapters Unfold. LEts just say it was a crazy ass night. Had a few beers and I was good. Didnt get home (at my granny's) till about 5am!!!
Saturday: Washed my van for once did just chilled out most of the day. Had a show @ Gumwrappers which was a really cool experience. I love the fact that one of the strippers/dancer got up on t he pole during "Knife" and started dancing. Drew and I later all got drunk and we hung out with Gary amd Spyder from Fate Of Cain who bought us Jager shots in the middle of our set. Much later that night us 4 and Joe from Vile Feast/Osiris Rising went to Denny's to pretty much sober up. Obviously got home at a later hour once again. 530am I believe!!! \m/
Sunday: The day I was waiting for a long time. I finally get to see Megadeth and my boys Fear Factory. Went to my buddy Scott's house and basiaclly got drunk, had a bar-b-q, played a little poker and headed to the venue. 2nd stage got cancelled which sucked and I arrived there just as Dillenger Escape Plan were finishing their set. I was fucking livid. Then FF came on. Played an awesome set. Burton Bell and Byron Strou both waved at me from the stage since I seem to always stand out during concerts (seeing that im black and all). I later got them to sign my VIP tiket for the show (Thanks JAmes) Dream Theatre was amazing but nothing prepare me for Megadeth. Dave Mustaine in the FLESH!!!! They played an AWESOME set. I even caught his guitar pick after the show. They played all my favorite songs INCLUDING Holy Wars, The Scorpion, and Swearing Bullets!! AMAZING!!! I didnt even get pissed when some fans were chanting METALLICA SUCKS which shocked quite a few people!!!
ALL IN ALL............IT WAS A GREAT WEEKEND. I NEED MORE LIKE THIS!!!
